Current leadership is okay with the status quo. They want to continue and expand the policies that have failed to protect us. We need a leader who will address the current backlog of 5,000 felony cases, including sexual assaults and homicides, and make our King County neighborhoods safe again.

Jim Ferrell is a regional leader on crime and public safety issues. We need Jim’s leadership to

  • Stop the Revolving Door of Repeat Offenders
  • Fix King County’s Diversion Program
  • Hold Criminals Accountable

Jim is also focused on holding offenders accountable and getting justice for victims. He will stop the revolving door of criminals who are allowed to remain on the streets while their case is processed or are recycled through ineffective diversion programs. Low-income neighborhoods, people of color, and women are often the most impacted by crime. Keeping repeat and dangerous criminals behind bars will help protect our communities and families.

After 16 years as a King County Senior Deputy Prosecutor and now a three term Mayor of Federal Way, Jim knows the problems and challenges of prosecuting crime and he understands firsthand the safety issues families across King County are facing. As Mayor, he has worked to build a more just, equitable, and safer community to live in, while holding people accountable for their actions. He will take that same approach to the King County Prosecutor’s Office.
